Freeware recovery software

If you need to recoder lost files and don't want to pay, take a look. It is possible to get a freeware recovery software and recover the deleted data as long as they have not been overwritten.

As you could guess, the sooner you try to get get those deleted files back, the better. You may have to search for a long time to find a freeware recovery software though. I mean all tools are not easy to use and don't always have simple features like intuitive interface or sorting files.

NTFS Undelete is a free and open source software that allows you to rescue some deleted documents and data.

Freeware Acronis True Image is a free XP and Vista compatible disk imaging software with BartPE and Linux based recovery options. It is a HDD backup and restoration software similar to Norton Ghost but FREE, the software enables you create a complete backup image of any drive or partition.

NirSoft provides a couple of free password recovery tools for various products such as Instant Messaging applications, cached passwords.

TestDisk is a freeware recovery software that can fix partition tables, recover deleted partitions and rebuild NTFS boot sectors.

PhotoRec is file data recovery software designed to recover lost files including video, documents and archives from Hard Disks and CDRom and lost pictures.
